Life drawing

Friday's life drawing. I much prefer more natural poses so my heart wasn't really in this. I have a virus this week and a migraine this weekend so I'll keep my posts short until I'm feeling more positive! It was Mark's birthday yesterday and as he has had a virus for the last three weeks with no sign of it getting any better, we've decided, like the Queen, that he should have an official birthday this year - hopefully next weekend if we're all feeling better!

Perhaps the pose describes how you are feeling -? I hope that balance is quickly restored.

Thanks Olga. I hadn't thought of that, but you are very observant!

Thanks Mattias, I'm much improved this morning!

It is a beautiful drawing Delicity!! Your shading is always so awesome. The position of the model looks uncomfortable but the skirt is so beautifully done, I didn't notice her postion at first.

I hope you'll soon be better too!

Nice drawing here, but however did he hold that pose long enough for anyone to draw it?!

Thanks for stopping by my blog...it has been quiet there because unfortunately I haven't drawn anything in weeks. I took a new job managing an antique mall, and I've been swamped with learning the ropes, setting up shop, creating a new look there. I'm missing the drawing though! I think I should start drawing each day....maybe something at work...lots of subject matter there. Oh, and yes, old Rt. 66 runs about a quarter mile from our house.

That's a beautiful drawing, I bet that's not a comfortable position for the model! :) Oh I hope you feel better soon!

I hate to have to hold that position! I would like to draw it as well as you have though.

It's a wonderfully interesting pose - I don't think I've ever seen a body in that postion before, and you've drawn it so very well. I can't help thinking what a person in that pose might be doing or thinking. Interesting! Are you enjoying your watercolours?

Thanks very much! This particular model seems to prefer these difficult poses!

Joyce, it sounds like you have some amazing subjects for drawing there - I hope you'll find time soon!

Annabel, I think every day gets a little better. I had a little lightbulb moment yesterday and feel more comfortable now I'm working a bit smaller - I've decided to ignore every bit of advice I read and see what happens!

So sorry to hear you are under the weather. Your drawing is lovely (if contorted) Our daughter had a virus that has knocked her out the whole semester at school Very nasty stuff. May you and yours NOT have that one!

Glad to hear you are feeling better.
I do believe the "kinks" in the road all bring life much more into balance. The unnatural help us to see the beauty in a perfectly highlighted simple curve. You do lovely work even when challenged.

That is an amazing drawing of an awkward pose. I hope that you feel better soon.
